Holker Hall visit - Holker Hall visit on "Drive it Day"

I hope that I don't get banished into cyberspace, but I've got the 2 clubs mixed up (P6ROC & P6club) when I applied for membership & have actually joined the P6club (please don't hold it against me :) ). Anyway, I've put my hand up to organise a drive out on the 20th April 2008 (drive it day). We'll be meeting just outside Preston & driving up through the Lancashire countryside to Holker Hall which is in the South Lakes http://www.holker-hall.co.uk/. I've organised 2 previous trips to Holker Hall through my Lancia clubs, both of which turned out to be on wet days, 3rd time lucky??? The purpose of the visit is the Lakeland Motor Museum which has some fantastic memorabilia on display as well as cars, motorbikes & the Bluebird exhibition. Cost will be £7.75 per person & this includes access to the Hall, gardens and the motor museum. Meeting up time is to be arranged, but the event is open to ALL types of cars/clubs. Happy (belated) New Year everyone. Just a quick update, we'll be meeting up/starting from Charnock Richard services, M6 (Nth bound) at 10 A.M. for those of you who intend coming along. Nearer the time,I'll advise you of the intended route, just incase there's any owners who intend joining us around the Lancaster/Carnforth area. Thanks.

Hopefully will be able to make the trip, though will be travelling across Cumbria on the A591/590 to get to Holker, the museum is good, I actually visited last year with the RSR/P4DG Lakes Rally.

I've just been talking to the events co-ordinator at Holker Hall and she was wondering what sort of numbers to expect (there's 2 other groups turning up as well). So, if you're intending on coming, then please reply to this thread. Even if you're "thinking" about coming along and just waiting for the weather report, then again, please reply with a "thinking about it" comment. Should be a good day out. Thanks.

Well the route maps are done, the weather for the route is overcast & cold(ish) but DRY, all we need now is a LOT of cars :D . I've had a few enquiries from non Rover owners, so come on you lot in the North, let's show them. For more information, I can be contacted on 07979-016274. Thanks.
