The first thing to remove is the small metal panel on the right of the instrument panel. It has a bit that sticks out in the middle to hold and just pulls off. On the other side of the instrument panel is a plate with the lighting dimmer and trip reset knobs. Pull both knobs off, they might be a bit stiff if they haven't been off for a while. Unscrew the silver locking rings on both and remove the plate. There are 4 large screws holding the clear plastic panel cover. Remove these along with the felt washers (if they're still there). The instrument panel itself is held on by 4 cross head screws, 2 at either end. The 2 on the right also hold the spring clip that holds the little end plate on that you removed first, the 2 on the left are by the dimmer and trip reset controls. Removal of these should release the whole panel. You should be able to pull the whole thing forward slowly and carefully as the speedo cable and other electrical connectors are still attached. Each clock/gauge is held onto the printed circuit board by a couple or 4 screws. The ammeter has 2 connectors on the back but the oil pressure gauge gets it's power through 2 contacts on the pcb. The rev counter will have a couple (I think) connectors on the back, the speedo has the obvious cable going to it. The temp/fuel guage I'm not sure about but you'll find out when you get the panel free.
All pretty easy and straightforward, but always worth disconnecting the battery before starting to prevent any damage through inadvertent contact of live connectors. Take pictures as you go for reconnecting and refitting and label any connector you remove.
