I just had to buy it as it had my name on it!

Hi all.

It has just passed its mot. :D

Just a couple of advisories that I will sort out asap, going to get it taxed on monday.
Am going to use it for work and back for a week or so as it has been standing for so long.
Need to get the reg number transfered to the P6V8 and its new number and documents sorted then I can put it up for sale, hopefully by February.
Will be taking it to the Shepton Mallet resto show on the 12/13 Feb,so anyone going who is interested can see it there.

Re cars and names,,,
The TR6 is Sid,the p62000 is Connor, ive never had a name for the white V8,so its now obvious with the new reg number its gotta be the same as my nickname, or similar but with a twist, ie,,pilkiep6

Yes it does actually!! :|
It makes me feel ill!! :(
The pedals dont line up right with the seat, they are too close together for my feet, sitting at an angle doesnt do my back any good, bit too small inside for me,and its noisy!
And ive only done 5 miles in it!
Apart from that ,,, it drives better and smoother than I thought it would, and I must admit it does have very nice lines on the body front.
Some lucky new owner will appreciate and love it more than I will. :)

WAHAY!!!

THE VW IS SOLD!! :D :D
Well provisionally anyway!!
Ive got a non refundable deposit via ppal and cash balance on collection next weekend.
Ive about broke even ££££'s wise,so the PLK1E plate has cost me as good as nowt! :D
Was it worth all the hassle and effort? :?:
YOU BETCHA!!

Once it has gone,I can start on the P6V8's delayed refurb.
As it was to be my winter project, but was put off due to the VW's unexpected but VERY welcomed arrival!!
So the next project is a full repaint,"in white" of the spare rust free panel set for fitting to the V8!!
As the 16 old panels are unbolted repair any rust issues found on the base unit.
Refurb and recolour the spare bronze leather seat set, recover the huntsman vynil roof, side panels and webasto sunroof, and fit the stainless exhaust, all before easter hopefully.
And if I get a spare couple of hours, pop in the spare BW35 autobox.

OH!
And ive still got to rebuild the car port one weekend now the drive is concreted!

Looks like it's time to start a new thread for the V8 in the member project section then. I love reading about other people sorting their cars out, it's so therapeutic... as you look lazily out of the window at your own.

member project section!!!

Watch that space!!!

I may have to squeeze in fitting a new headgasket to connor the 2000sc first,as there is a small oil and water leak from somewhere?

Great news on selling the car.

The V8 looks good with the new plates too :D

Me too Adam. Always interested to see what other cars are like under the panels. I'll get round to shifting all my work into the projects section sometime.
