Hi all

I am looking at a gearbox for my 3500s and the guy who is selling it said the only number on it is V3364 can anybody tell me what this has come off and what year it is ?

Cheers
Dave

To all intents and purposes all 3500S boxes are the same, there are only internal differences. There is a gearbox number stamped on the bottom of the main casing, close to the drain plug.

Thanks for the reply. The guy tells me this is the only number on the gearbox so can I assume that this number doesn't mean anything or help with the identification ?

Cheers

That number doesn't mean anything to me. Have you seen this box? All you could ask him is whether "V3364" is cast or stamped on the box, and to send you a picture. (Of the box)

Thanks for all the help, no it's not that one it's this one on eBay item number:141726511776 sorry I don't know how to post a link to ebay.

That's an LT77 from an SD1, so not a 3500S gearbox, but a good conversion for a 3500S to give you a 5th gear if you can do the work to get it to fit, which is not much tbh. It's a pretty well documented conversion on here somewhere.

[EDIT] There were a very few 4 speed versions of that box, so just make sure it's the 5 speed one before you part with the cash if you go for it.
