Intermittent fuel and temp gauge

Noticed the fuel and temp gauge were together not working first thing this morning. I popped to the shops, parked up and when I returned to the car to drive home, both gauges decided to work again.

All other electrics are OK.
 
Mine have done that on the odd occasion over the years. I gently tap the screen with the back of my fingers in front of the gauges. They come good pretty well straight away then.

All sorted. Mark Gray located me a brand new voltage regulator. I fitted it today and took the opportunity to replace the decrepid speedo angle drive. Many thanks Mark - all is now good with the fuel and temp gauges.
