Seen these on ebay Ebay Link

Brand new, 18" alloys with the correct 5*127 pcd for the P6, I'm tempted (If I had the money ! ), I can see some serious D post mods will be needed though.

I've done a quick mock up with them fitted....

Obviously need to mock up some 6 pot callipers and monster discs as well !!

he`s got them cheaper if you want white ones.....sent me a pic with them on a SD1...you can get 205/40/18`s now for about 150 the pair on ebay, not sure how wide these alloys are though...be very interesting if they fit!

You can get 225/40/18's for £57.10 each on www.mytyres.co.uk, depending on the width I was thinking 225 front 245 rear, 245/40/18's are £74.40 each.

I don't suggest for a minute that these will fit under the arches of a standard P6.

Have you seen the white ones, they're a bit dodgy, would have to spray them silver anyway. Funny that he doesn't list the silver ones as fitting the P6/SD1 etc even though they are exactly the same as the white ones.

Having looked at them for a while, I'm not totally convinced I like them, I'm not sure about the curvy spokes.

he did have then on ebay as fitting sd1 and p6 for a while...obviously no takers!...have seen the same wheels on a Suzuki Jimni at some traffic lights...didnt look all that clever..going for 17`s on mine with a 2" drop, either jeep ones or wheelmania used to machine any offset and pcd for you a few years ago from blanks...will try them again...not all that keen on using 25mm spacers on front...hello speed wobble!...unless i get some spigots machined up

18 inch??? What are you going to do? Paint some roof sealant round the rims to mascarade as tyres!

I'm not worried about rolling radius being correct, so they've just got to fit ( just ! ), 40 or 45 profile should be fine !

Rick, saw an ad on ebay tonight selling two black pearshaped headrests mounted in what looked like a 2 door P6 convertable in bare metal. Your project?

That's the idea, it's "hopefully" going to be a two piece roof that fits in the boot, I've measured it and once the roof is shortened slightly for the coupe look, the two halves should fit in the boot.

I will need to move the fuel tank, or change the shape of it, to give some clearance for the roof to go over the top of it, maybe even use an estate fuel tank, as they fit in the boot floor.

The idea is that it will end up looking like my avator with the hard top up

Are you going to be removing all the locks too? This is interesting stuff!
Please tell me a car that looks THAT agressive is going to recieve a bonkers V8 to match! :p

My old convertible had no locks or handles either. Small buttons were fitted on top of the doors which fired solenoids to open the doors. The boot was opened from a button on the dash.

At the moment it's looking like a 2ltr Turbo 800 engine, anywhere from 200bhp upwards.

I have a very limited budget, so although I wanted the new corvette 500bhp v8 and six speed box, I'll be raiding the 800 parts bin as usual :D Plus I want to be able to drive it without shares in Shell !
