Today is a grim day, I got a call from the now ex-boss to say... well you can guess the rest. I'm now a man of leisure until I get sorted. So Jinx is potentially up for sale, unless a miracle presents itself in the next two weeks. Most of you know the details from here viewtopic.php?f=21&t=8542 but to summarise; 1972 3500S - Monza Red, Webasto, Black Flat pleat, ETs, Vitesse Wheels, MOT until october, loads of receipts stuff tax exempt - £3295. PM for details please.

Very sorry to hear this, especially after all of the work that's been put into the car. I hope you can find employment again very soon.

Oh man, that's a real bummer. I hope you can find a new job soon... It must have been a hard decision to sell Jinx, its a real nice car...

Thanks guys,

The whole thing caught me a bit off guard really, I thought it was going better than they did... clearly!

I know these things take time sort out though, and with the best will in the world it normally takes 2-3 months to get a job sorted out... about as much time as Jinxs' value will buy me unfortunately. :(

Good luck - hope you find something soon. What's your line of work? - just in case i see anything - I'm only 15 miles away after all....

Rich.

That's very bad news, Adam. All the best looking for something new. Once you have an offer you can afford to put the selling on hold and exist on bread and dripping for a while!

Thanks Rich,

I've been in Sales of Engineering related products for the last 7-8 years, with a background as a fully skilled engineer specialising in grinding, an HNC in Mechanical and Production Engineering. I've done some time in production management too.

Chris - I already live on bread and dripping

I have a friend in leicester who works in that sort of thing - I'll ask if he knows of anything going!

Rich.

This seems to be a bit of a theme at the moment. Commiserations for your need to sell, made all the harder by having a car getting to the stage where it is just how you wanted, only to have to sell & go through the whole process again when times are better....hopefully & if you can be bothered!

Best of luck mate

I agree with Brian when he says - Nooooooooooooooooooo!!!!!!!!!!!!!

:(

Richard

Bets of luck Adam, hope you manage to hold on to Jinx and sort another job out asap.

I think we met briefly and had a chat at Ragley Hall last Summer, my red V8 Auto was parked in the same line up as your lovely 'S'.
