Regarding a Series 2 V8 (BW65 box)- I do not have any 'kick-down' at speeds in excess of 10 mph despite having no probles with normal changing up and down through the gears whilst driving.
The repair manual implies that special instrumentation is required to set the mecanism up - can it be set up without special equipment and are there any rules of thumb that can be considered.
