knocking noise

hi all in the last week i have had problems with my brakes and engine change the servo made no differents at all but now the engine is making hell of a knocking noise when it ticking over and when it racing any ideas what this car be the timming is smack on and how ever i adjust the carbs its always running rich
 
What have you done to it ? Changed the engine ? Do you know the engine was OK before you fitted it ?

I'd check the carbs for flooding and vacuum pipes for leaks to start
