Leaking oil pressure switches - Is their an alternaive switch

Every new plastic bodied switch I fit (from approved P6 supplier) leaks after about 3 weeks. Car is '71 P6, 3500V8 Auto
1) any ideas what might cause this
2) is there a metal bodied alternative from a modern vehicle

Is your oil pressure too high and is the correct viscosity oil used in your engine correct?
I would not have thought that you have had a bad batch of switches but a lucas part may help to increase the quality stakes.As far as i'm aware there is no metal coned switch available so it's back to basics i would say,although be carefull not to man-handle the wire onto the switch on assembly
