Hi all .
Been dying ( get it ? ) to recolour my leather for some time , it is in very good original condition , no rips or tears . It was quite faded in places which gave the impression of being dirty , but it was not . I had cleaned it a year or so ago , and have been conditioning it every month or so . The kit i used does not require a sealer applied after the colour so after a few months it can be conditioned every six months or so .
In the pics you can see how faded it was , the colour is buck skin , i sent a sample off to match it to original ( cut a small piece from under the back seat , where it's not faded .
I took the seats out and took over our hall as a temporary work shop ( the whole house smells of leather now , apart from that back to normal ) In all about 15 hours work over 3 days with drying time .
I'm really pleased with the results , how i wanted it to look , but wasn't sure i could achieve it . I'd recommend anyone thinking of it to give it a go , it's all in the preparation .
