Leather seats need refreshing....which kit?

Hi All,

Winter's here and I'm doing up the inside of the old girl. I need to smarten up the black leather seats which have gone a bit stiff and looking a bit worn. I've heard good reports of Woolies, and Practical Classics seem keen on FurnitureClinic.

I was wondering if anyone had good experiences that could be shared and help myself and others to make an informed decision.

I'd also be interested in the size of the kit that you may have bought that is the correct one for the P6 interior.

Many thanks,
Brian.

Hi Brian
I hve just had the seats and some of the interia done and mine looks fantastic the supplyer was Gliptones liquid leather. The only thing is when the seats have been done you will want to do every thing else

Best wishes John.

Thanks John,

You are right, and I do intend to do everything else - I've got the carpet on order from Coverdale!

In preparation for the carpeting and leather treatment, I've just taken the front passenger seat out, and (to my wife's dismay!) I'm sitting on it in the living room!!! One of the jobs that I will need to do during the leather treatment is to mend some of the stitching. Now, I can see how to separate the back from the seat, but how on earth do you remove the leather from the seat frame?

Thanks everyone,
Brian.

Undo all the clips round the edge and the clips holding the cloth strips through the slots in the metal base
It should then come apart
