Leather steering wheel cover

Back in the '70s my father had a P6 and put a leather lace-up steering wheel cover on the wheel. This gave him a better grip and made steering easier. I would like to do the same but cannot locate a cover big enough. Any ideas?

I think they have gone out of fashion as steerings wheels have got smaller and thicker
Pink furry wheel covers seem to be back in fashion though

The last one I had was on a series 3 land rover.

This might be their sort of thing, plenty landrover specialists and forum. worth and ask.

Got one on my P5B which was bought for me by my then Girlfriend but that was 20 years ago. They do seem difficult to get now. The last one I got was rubbish, the stiching came apart & the lace pulled through the leather as I was fitting it. We've got one on the 2200 too which isn't bad. Got it off a Moggy van we bought, then scrapped. More tinworm than we thought.
