You'd be correct there. And not tuned at all - need to get it down to the tuner/rolling road, correct needles and so on. I'll be interested to hear it once it's all sorted :)
 
When you drive the car you never hear it like that! I know mine sounds beefy when you put your foot to the floor but no idea what it sounds like from outside... I'm driving :)

Just watching these few clips I now know I'll take mine to a parking lot soon and have my mate drive it around while I just listen... He wants me to film him in his 328i for similar reasons so he'll not give me a hard time for it.

I also have a GoPro that I got for Xmas, so watch this space.
 
Oh man. Now there's going to have to be tripods, and microphones, and spotters, and set up, and all sorts. I need to find out what mine sounds like doing that! Inspired to get on with the welding now!
 

Here is mine with the exhaust on :) it seems to be a small bore. All standard spec made from steel. May be getting a new system this year. I'm not going over the top, they do sound spectacular with no muffler but i don't think it suits the car. I'm after something a bit deeper and a bit louder
