With some trepidation I signed up to the Littlewick Show on last Bank Holiday Monday. This would be the first proper show I had taken the P5B to after a year of getting it safe & roadworthy; I was dreading a breakdown en route and rain turning the venue into a Glastonbury-esque quagmire.
Luckily it was a most enjoyable event - six P5Bs made it from the local club and we arrived in convoy without a issue. It seems a 'pride' of Rovers know how to behave when they spot other marques.
Without descending into laborious detail, it was a most enjoyable day with good food, a fantastic range of cars on display and varied activities if you tired of chrome and carbs: equestrian gymkhana, car boot sale, live music and an array of stalls.
Club stalwart Geoff Moorshead picked up a 1st place in category for his newly restored grey P5B - the paint was still curing! This was all the more galling for another club member who's excellent Arden Green P5B clinched second and had just spent 15 minutes stalking the rows trying to find the 1st place rosette.
Some photos below - note the Fiat 500 holding up more some high performance machinery at the entrance.
