Lucas LR8

Looking for the Lucas LR8 spot light glass.

I just need the glass, whilst of course a complete lamp would be a matter of study.

Please have a look at the bottom of your drawers. I would be very grateful.

Hello again. In my quest for the LR8 glass, I realized that it's normal to sell together the foglamp FT8 and the spotlight LR8.

Thus I think that cars sold back in the sixties and seventies wore two different glasses on each side. Am I right? It sounds a bit strange for me, as never seen it here, but...

If so, please tell me which side of the car did wear the spot and which one the fog light. Just as a matter of curiosity.

Put the Foglight nearest the kerb to light up the side of the road.

Put the Spotlight in the middle of the road to light up the way ahead.

I think it was done this way because cars did not have relays. Therefore to put the fog lights on, the main lights had to be turned off otherwise you'd overload the switch. Then with a spot/fog combination you could see where you were going.

It works really well.
