Magstar Wheels and much else!

I have got Magstars on my NADA V8. They are an interesting fit! The stud spacing is identical, but the wheelnuts are very different. They have a 60 degree taper and a parallel shank that fits into the oversized hole in the wheel to help locate it I presume. The good thing is that they are a standard type of wheelnut and can be bought for about £1.50 each. If you search for Alloy wheel nuts on the internet, you can find various suppliers. They are 7/16" unf thread with a 3/4" hex. This is a pain as the Rover nuts seem to be something like 23/32", which is a wierd size!

The other thing is that the offset is around an inch further out than standard. I originally had 195/75 tyres and these rubbed the wheelsarch. I now have 185/80's and these just clear, and I mean just! I imagine they would be fine on a 2000/2200 with 165/80 tyres. They are 5 1/2 inch rims.

By the way, I got my Magstars from the US. It cost about $300 for shipping airmail, but you will also get stung around $200 for import duty.

This is just a compasison in terms of size between the Rostyle wheel nut and the 3500S wheel nut. The taper, thread and AF are the same for each.

The Rostyle wheel nut is the shorter of the two.
