This is a brand new show at Event City. It's The Footman James Manchester Classic Car Show. Put this in your diary as its looking like being a good show

Certainly sounds like it'll be a great one, Mick! I'll have the yellow 2000 there, on the Young Guns Classics stand!

We are in the process of finalising with the organisers now, definitely a Club Stand just not sure exactly yet how many cars.

I have the floor plan and we are very close to your stand Frazzle, only problem for me is I'm on Holiday so will miss it all, but I'm sure the lads will make it a success .

I'll make sure I pop over to say hello during the weekend. We've got a camping theme going on with the YGC stand, which should be fun. Apologies in advance for some of our props! :D

Might pop along in RVW. I'll probably have to park in the moderners car park as I don't fancy stopping for two nights. I shall try and pop over to all the stands and have a good chat. :) :)

THE ROVER P6 CLUB members can get a £5 discount on their entry into The Footman James Manchester Classic Car Show on the 21st and 22nd September 2013.
Contact me through the forum or phone or email for our discount code, phone number can be found in our Bi Monthly magazine Driving Force.

Just a reminder to all, the show is this Saturday and Sunday. Why not pop along and meet up with some lovely cars and equally enthusiastic owners on The Rover P6 Club Stand.
As usual forum members who want to put a face to a name can meet up on the club stand at 12:00 lunchtime and say a few hello's.

Had a great time at Manchester with the team - particular thanks to Sue Hutton for the flasks of coffee on the Sunday! - with a lot of interest in the cars shown by the fee-paying public.

Our stand was next to the Concours cars, and I think the P6's held their own pretty well!

Pat on the back for Pat for getting the stand and display organised....whilst Mick's sunning himself in Cuba! :)

Some pics....

Very nice pictures mr Vaultsman! I now start to look forward to the yearly pilgrimage to the NEC. Thank you!

regards, Barten

Great photos there. I've seen that Landcrab at the Bristol show before and it is stunning. I'd wager they weren't that good when they left Longbridge.

Paintjob on the Cortina must have taken flippin' ages too.

Hola from sunny Cuba, glad all went well on the stand. Good pics their Stan.
See you all soon, back to the Sun and booze :D

My second favourite car - ever.

I didn't take any notice of the Reg No. until I uploaded the pic to photobucket...should have asked the owner if that was the price. 999 Australian $ or near offer.

Owner of the Cortina claims the car is driven to every event, and yet, not the slightest evidence of a 'sooty' tailpipe. Do they really go to the lengths of cleaning the inside of them?

I believe a mate of Andy King's has seen said Cortina out and about in wet weather

I can't vouch for the owner's claim obviously, but I will say that in the 2 days, all the Concours guys only stopped cleaning and polishing for the awards presentation. Made me tired watching 'em.

The concours cars were superb, with a fantastic attention do detail. Almost impossible to choose a favourite, the Mini won me over in the end.

The P6's all looked spot on too, nice to see so many there.

An absolutely brilliant selection of P6s present, with all bases covered! The standard of P6s was very high, and I was quite glad that mine wasn't right next to any others for comparison.
It was great to meet some well-known forum members, and I look forward to getting to some more indoor shows! :D
