Mango V8 armrests and footwell carpets

Oh PLEASE, someone must have these parts lying about.

For my Series II V8 I'm desperately seeking the front armrests in Mango.
Also, I'm looking for a decent set of carpets for the footwells (the ones that go from the front footwell all teh way to the rear seat) in Mortlake Brown.

These are the only pieces missing to enable me to finish off my interior redecoration.

Please, please, please!

I don't actually think that's stupid money. I always think that NOS spares will only ever be seriously considered by the sort of person who might just as well buy new remanufactured. The vast majority of us are looking for good, used original carpets with plenty of tuft left. But if you're completing a really high end restoration jobbie, your default position is likely to be buying brand new remanufactured carpet, and you're not going to settle for the basic nylon stuff, you'll want a wool blend to reflect the original style and quality. And once you start pricing them up, you're well into 3 figures before you've even decided the binding colour! So I reckon they could be a very attractive buy for someone.

I won't argue for a second that the set of new ones is a good deal. But it is too expensive for me and too good to blend in with the rest of my car.

Blimey, NOS carpets. Not surprised they're pricey.

I reckon that puts the prices up for anyone who has a set of good used........

I already paid you for them........

I'm all too aware of that, I just can't bear to think how much you'll be selling them for. I knew I let you have them too cheaply at the time..... All that profit could have been mine.

There are lots of V8s being broken on ebay at any given time. The seller of parts from this one is very fair with his prices, if you want to give dying them a shot.

I contacted both sellers of the to be broken P6es currently on Ebay and the front armrests were the first thing sold in both cases.
I'll have a look at the Mexico Brown one in Manchester on Saturday, but I will be second in line behind a bunch from Birmingham.
The car was only advertised on Ebay after most of the parts were already sold, in fact, it has been broken completely and the rust free shell is gone already.
What is left, are bits and pieces.

I'm not sitting around idle and wait until someone delivers the parts to my door. I am very actively looking for these items for almost a year now.
For this very reason, I appeal to club members on this forum. If I could find them elsewhere, I wouldn't need to do so.

I've just remembered that there is a yard in Bury with a V8 breaking. I think it may have been a company called autosave? The car was green, and had sandalwood upholstery.

There are a couple of adverts in Classic Car Weekly for P6 parts this week. One says that there are panels, and lots of other spares, and to call 01992 462866, and the other is titled Rover P6 V8 parts, and the number is 01765 677178.
Hope this helps!

All my recent forays into Pikey-Reich were futile and all other leads didn't -well- lead to sucess.

The parts are hence still wanted.
