hi, as you know i have just had my car resprayed etc but i kind of prefer a manual, so if anyone knows of any out there or who would like to possible do a deal let me know

i am in no rush to change as the car i have i really like but just like a manual better

thanks

If you're happy with your car apart from the box, why not convert it to a manual?

You could end up losing your car and getting a heap of trouble.

Just a suggestion

hi,
like quattro said, probably a lot cheaper than getting another and spending money on it. cost in coverting to manual, a pedal box, propshaft, gearbox, clutch slave and master cylinder, clutch plate and cover are the main items, then one or two smaller bits and bobs, i.e. gearstick, clutch pipe etc. i have everything but the gearbox, pm if interested.

Go for the LT77 gearbox, and you won't need the prop, the auto one fits.

You will need to do some small fabrication work though, so cost is really down to how much of the work you can do yourself.

i work in a garage, im a spray painter so my mechanical skill is limited to a certain extent but i can get help is needed, what type of gear boxs are there? if i was going to do it probs better getting a 5 speed one

I would go for the LT77 5 speed with a V8 bellhousing, it will bolt straight onto the engine (you have to change the spigot bearing and fit a flywheel/clutch assembly), the gearstick comes up in just the right place and it bolts to the existing prop.

There are others - have a search through the gearbox section.
