More dodgy dials

My oil pressure gauge, temp, and fuel gauge have all stopped working. I first thought it might be the voltage regulator, but looking at the wiring diagram, it looks as if only the fuel & temp gauges are regulated, the feed for the oil pressure gauge is taken before the voltage regulator. Next up. I've checked the fuses, and all looks ok, cleaned and replaced the fuses (there were even spares in the fuse box!!). Still no joy. Its obviously a dodgy connection somewhere; they used to work ok, and sometimes when you first start the car, the gauges work, then pack in after about 10 seconds. Looks like I'd better start tracing the wiring... I did wonder whether I'd blown something up, as I've just done a fair bit of mig welding around the rear springs, but I did disconnect the battery, and it was all working before.. :?:

hi looks like all of those guages are fed by a green wire from the supply which also supplies the flasher unit so if the indicators /hazards are working then the supply is ok , the wiring diagram indicates 1 join in the wire where it feeds from the flasher unit , this is quite possibly where the problem lies , let us know how it goes, rich

I know its been ages since the original post, but I did sort this problem. It turned out to be a dodgy contact on the fuse in the fusebox...
