Well it passed it's MOT today although I have a couple of new advisories I will have to do before next year, they were rear springs corroded but not weakened and rear discs pitted, not bad for a 43 year old car.

Has anyone on the Forum experienced coil springs rusting away?
Sure, they snap/break but it has little to do with rust and lots to do with materials specs and building down to a price :?
You'll probably die of old age before those rear springs fail due to corrosion.
Er, don't take this as gospel or hold your breath too long!
