NADA 3500 S bonnet scoops

Aluminium. And there is a stainless steel "rain deflector" between the scoop and the bonnet to encourage any rain that goes up the scoop to exit via the small cutouts at either side near the front of the scoop.

There are some very nice plastic repros available though.

you are right, the scoops are aluminium, but the piece inside to deflect the rain are plastic.
