Putting the sidewall lining on panel is a great improvement over the original "curtain" hanging from a piece of wire.
My first pic was after I had ripped all the rubber off, it was too untidy, torn , but not really horrible, for a 50 year old car anyway. This is the rear corner before, but the higher edge further forward of the rubber was torn, and hanging down some.
