NEC Car Show

............What's Facebook?

It's a medium that allows you to tell all your friends everytime you go to the toilet, and allows you to put up pictures of what you did when you were there. :p

In the finish, I only managed Saturday and Sunday on the stand. And most of that sitting down! Even so, I met loads of people including putting faces to a fair few names here. Nice to see lots of the Irish contingent over! What I really really enjoyed was talking people through the car who were considering their first classic. Invariably they left really impressed and I'm sure there are quite a few P6 converts out there! Everybody else on the stand did similarly and it was really good having Mark Gray and Clive Annable there talking through the spares and workshop aspects.

Lots of new members too - "encouraged" by Lord Rottweiler Brian of Northampton!

A really enjoyable, if exhausting couple of days

Thanks to everyone who came to see us and thanks to everyone who helped with all the talking!

Chris

I notice the record for the most people online was broken on the Sunday afternoon of the show. So forum promotion must have been working :D

79 is a really decent number isnt it! wow!

On the pictures front I didnt take any or they'd be here... sorry. I'm not much of a photographer!

And what car was that your were talking them all through, eh Chris?

My inner wings and seat bases have never been thumbed so much! Turned round at one point, I swear it was on its side!!

Still, I don't mind too much. It's a decent enough base unit, and one of the prospective buyers who was casting his eye searchingly and admiringly over the fruits of my labours was none other than Peter Wilmer... the first man to crash a P6 when he wrote a Talago off sometime in 1961/62.

I would of liked to come but couldn't , would love to see pictures , but don't want to get involved in faceache ( rather keep my toileting exploits to myself  )
Come on put some pics up someone , please :D

Great photos Fraser.
You are very modest. I wish my 'snaps' were as good. Every time I went to take a photo of a car on Saturday, about 5 million people tried to jump in front!

Thanks Fraser .
You really do have an affinity with the lense . Totally stunning what you refer to as "snaps" :D
