NEC RP6C

Bri, Angie says change your holiday dates for next year so that Vaneesa can meet everyone at the NEC in 2011.
The 2011 list is pinned on the wall and Vanesa is 2nd to be added after Pilkies white V8 !

'HAPPYDAYS' Angie says don't bring chocie biscuits for Mark he is too fat already!!!!

First to post, does this mean I'm the first one home?

Just a note to say a special thanks to all of you in the RP6C Mark, Angie and all the other members. I've had such a good weekend, some great complements on the car and there was never a dull moment. I just wish they'd put some decent signage up at the NEC to get back to the M42 North, I think Testrider (Paul), Vaultsman (Stan) and I went three times around the damn place before it sent us out on a wild goose chase to a roundabout and back again. We lost Stan somewhere, maybe he gave up following us two because we clearly had no idea where we were going...

But it was a great three days, and I'm really looking forward to Beamish now!

I just hope Brian and the boys got back okay to Co Durham with his leaking rear caliper... not what you want to find at 6 O'Clock on a Sunday night with a 4-5 hour drive ahead of you. Keep us posted matey.

Hi everyone,
we're back in Wolvo, I know its not far from the NEC but the club trailer is tucked up for the night.
Thank you to everyone who made our RP6C club display such a massive success and a big thank you to all the forum members, club members and others visitors who took the time to come and find us and say hello.

Thank you all.

What a cracking weekend! :D

The stand and the cars looked great for all the visitors. The NEC is a superb venue for the show and the number of people through the doors overs the 3 days reinforced the huge interest in classic cars.

Many, many thanks to Mark, Angie, and the rest of the club organisers for their efforts.

As Adam says, it was a such a shame one of the rear caliper's on Brian's car decided to start dripping. As I'm writing the NE lads are hopefully just arriving home - let us know how it went Bri.

Glad to hear that everyone has got back safe.We got back to sunny lancashire just before 9 pm, hold ups on the M6. Just like to say thankyou to Mark, Angie and all the gang for a cracking few days, great cars and great chat. Will post some pictures later.

well, thank you to mark and angie for a excellent weekend,we are back home eventually,i just got in,the car behaved itself all the way home, just kept stopping to check brake fluid and all is fine, nice to put faces to the names on the forum, cracking lads, thanks stan for the beer mate it sorted me out ha,will post some pics tomorror, thanks lads :D :D :D :D :D :D

Glad to hear you got back safe lads.

Sorry Stan and Adam for the winding long way out but I wasn't sure which signs to follow - M42 Birmingham or M42 Coventry. Neither sounded particularly in the right direction and we didn't want the M6 either, M42 Tamworth would have been more helpful. Anyway I thought the little red and blue convoy looked pretty good on the way back

Thanks to all for a great weekend though, I think we all spoke to a lot of nice people about our cars and P6's in general so hopefully a few of them will have had their eyes opened. I spoke to a couple with a young family who bought an old Porsche 911 to use for fun days out but they just can't fit enough stuff in it for them all to go out together and I think they were quite surprised at how the P6B strikes a good balance of space, good looks and a bit of sportiness.

For those that didn't get to go there's a photo thread on the Retro Rides forum here http://retrorides.proboards.com/index.c ... read=92019 including a nice one of Adam's P6.

Thanks for that Paul, there were some on that thread that I didn't see!

Oh, and I had no idea where we were going either, so it was no criticism of you! We got to parade the cars about a bit like you say. It also made me proud to be driving past all those trailer queens getting towed home on the way back.

Looks like a great display! Looks like I missed out there - would've been too much though for our littlun at the moment! Next year when she's a bit more confident walking it will be a great day out!

Rich

Yep, it was. There were ten cars on display (Vaultsman took a great picture on my car in the middle there, cheers!) and the public were free to walk round them and the helpers on the stand were there to show them the inside and under the bonnet. It's great to see people's faces smile when you open the door and they catch the first smell of leather.

Is yours a blue one starting GNT on the reg in long eaton? Friend saw it and sent me a photo the other week....

Not me, mines EMF.

Good pic Stan, thanks.

I've had a few people say they've seen me driving round Long Eaton, but I live on the other side of Nottingham, so I don't know whose car it is.
