New, but old

Hi from the Colorado Rockies (not the baseball team!). I didn't remember if I was a member! So, I joined 'again'. I have no questions at this time. What I do potentially have is answers! I worked at what was perhaps the last dealer in the US until it closed. I learned a lot from what turned out to be the first dealer in the country! as well, who was working there at the time. (another among plenty of stories; some even repeatable!) That's not all. My last week's pay was the board of dealers service tools; complete with every tool, some duplicates too. I'll post a picture of it when I can. It's pretty cool. Please don't ask to borrow any of them. I'm sure you understand. But, I can help by showing it and any particular tool from which you might get ideas. I can also answer questions and relate "war stories". I had a good sized 'flock' of customers back in NJ, but a smaller flock when I moved out here in 1981. I started a business called "The Motorway, ltd." in NJ, and continued it out here until I sold it and retired. One more thing. I have what seems to be one of the last 5 P6s imported to this land. It's a 'New Look' 1971 4 cylinder. It may be the last 2000TC. It has sat for a number of years in line for resto. It's nearly time to get to it and I anticipate plenty of enjoyment and frustration! I have an SD1 with that same need, but it will require more. I'm also it's first owner, like the White P6. I'm glad to have (re)found this site, and hope I can help. I also got their workshop manuals...

Interesting jouney

Very! Do you know Dermot Harvey? He is based in Rockland County NY and is a big Rover guy. Very sweet chap.

Off the top of my head I don't recognize the name, but it was a long old time ago. Is he a parts guy, or a well versed "civilian"?
