Howdy from the states. I just purchaced a 1967 2000tc. I will be the 3rd owner of this car. I bought it from the orginal family that bought it brand new in 66. I needs a lot of help but belive I will get her going again. Been sitting out side for the last 10 years and not started since about 8 years ago. This will be the 3rd 2000tc I have owned. Love this car.

Hello & welcome :D . Some pic's or more car info would be good please.
Not sure if your car is a 66 or 67. I think Rover started importing 2000TC's to the US when they were launched in 1966, so either way, it is quite an early example of a 2000TC.

I've just returned indoors after Rovering around in the light dusting of snow that fell this morning- just a couple of inches, but the P6 is far better than the MX5 in the white stuff!
Welcome to the forum, and best of luck with your new project.
As a fellow owner of a 1967 2000TC for the past year - and 3rd owner at that - I have found this site invaluable for know-how and friendliness - I hope you will too.

I will be towing the car home hope fully next weekend. It was blocked in by a large pile of fire wood. As soon as it it here I will post pic's. Main goal right now is to get the power train up and going by this summer for a show in Portland, Or. :D This will be the second '67 I have had, my other was a '68 but didn't care for it as much.

Finally pickup my car and got pic's of it but I cant get them to load. I keep getting this message (Sorry, the board attachment quota has been reached.) Sorry guy's i'll try again later

You'll need to use a host site like flicker or photo bucket until the forums moved to a new server....

Welcome to the forum.

Looks like a good project for you. We have a "projects" section too if you feel like giving us regular reports on progress

Does it have the standard rev counter pod in soft finish plastic - or the much rarer early type with the rev counter closest to the spedo?

Looks a nice straightforward project. What's the base unit like, any ideas yet?

Chris

It has the tach right next to the speedo. Looks like and after thought. My other 67 was this way also. Driver rear fender has been hit but it is fixable.

In which case you have a very rare late '66 car! Probably spent a while on the Atlantic Ocean and sat around in dealerships before being registered, hence the '67 or '68 apparent registration. You could also have Dunlop brakes instead of Girling. We'd be interested to know the chassis number to confirm.

Chris

Yep, suffix A - the suffix, broadly speaking, indicates the production mod status - so yours is a really early one and definitely '66 production date. I didn't realise that suffix A cars could be ordered with A/C - learn something every day!
