New years day,,,CLASSICS ON THE PROM

Gees Pilkie , i was gonna suggest that a bit closer to the time . Good day out , few hundred cars if the weather's good . Nice run down for you . ( only a mile for me ! ) The picnic is a good idea , Burgers on the prom are an arm and a leg ( and that's what they taste like ! ) Be good to catch up with a few of you .

Plenty of advance notice means more may turn up.
Looking forward to meeting you and the others from your area.

if you want to pop in here and use the loo you're more than welcome and then down to the prom.
hopefully get a couple more p6's to join in and join stina down there
if mine makes it that far!
every trip is an adventure
jules

Will be visiting the folks in Salisbury around then, so may drop by
What a nice dog you have there!
Colour coded :D

yup! just a bigger version of a japanese spitz
his only vice is he loves cars and , um, marks ' them as his own as he did most of the classic car par that day!
only tyres mind, he can't cock hisd leg any higher
i think he didn't 'do' pilkies p6, but he has 2 p6's of his own to play with though.
he licked stina and survived! (although did appear a little drunk after?)
just a big walking talking white teddy bear!

ah,corazon, if you're in Salisbury drop on in on the way to the prom. its on the way as i'm in ringwood
rocky will clean your tyres!

Luckily no, just a spruce up for the MOT. It's been kept safe warm and dry inside for the last year while i was away, SORN'd.
I'm planning a full respray, re-carpeting, re-upholstering affair, along with some subtle custom cosmetic changes to my taste :D
For which i'll begin a new project thread soon..

ah!
a full respray! re-carpeting, a spruce up!
you'll need to practice then,
i have the perfect car you can rub down in excited anticipation knowing that when you do yours it'll be perfect!
thats assuming you'll do anything for a bacon roll!
works with stina!
i actually have the carpet set in the shed ready too!
mine started as a bit of welding which developed into a partial re-spray, new wings&valance, seats, carpets and possibly webasto!
undersealing at the moment!yuk!
still, if you're going to the prom, call in for a roll and a tour of where p6's go into retirement!
(and get your tyres washed)

Nice try, but i'm vegan so that wont wash with me..and remember
When you assume, you make an ass outta you and me

I will certainly let you know when it's definite, and you are indeed en route- i used to drive that road a lot.
Driving surrounded by other classics is often far more enjoyable than the actual destination, it's fun when you're the majority on the road 8)

okeydonkey!
i've never actually been to the prom meet ever due to playing cricket most weekends during the summer so i;d best get an mot smartish.
i've never driven the 2000 anywhere so it sounds ok for an inaugural drive

I'd like to have gone to this, but we're away for the new year, a long, long way from there. Still, never mind.. There's always next year.. :)

Hi guys . Been keeping an eye on the local weather forecast , looks like it'll be o.k , maybe a little rain in the afternoon but not enough for them to cancel it .
Just cleaned the car up as we took it to Beaulieu for a look around the motor museum yesterday . I can thoroughly recommend staying at home and saving 17 quid for anyone thinking of going !
Hope to see some of you tomorrow

Hi all.

Well it started out overcast and drizzly with a brisk breeze, but sadly got extreemly wet n windy.
A very good turn out though and there were at least 8 P6's amongst about 100 cars in total.
Met members from the Rover Forum and also from the TR Forum as well.
At least it blew all the cobwebs out after the lazy holiday.
Needed a boat for the drive back it was that bad,and found a few leaks from splits in the webasto,so may have to gaffer tape it up until its renewed,or bale it out with a bucket now and then! .

Stina's and mine.

Hay Pilkie , that's not a very flattering picture of me , cars look good , but i look a little simple , and wind swept to say the least  Nice to meet up , shame about the weather . Glad you got back o.k . Chamois'd ( French spelling ! :? ) about a bucket of water off mine when i got back .
Any hoo Happy new year :D

it was alright for you two herberts sat in your cars!
(well, stina anyway!)
it got torrential just walking back to the car!
i was so wet that only my crotch was dry! (strange as thats usually damp anyway!)
the rain was coming out of the manhole covers!
just as well you never called in Pilkie cos i wasn;'t venturing outside again!
somre nice p6's on show though
mind, even mine might have looked ok in that rain!
i have a few thoughts on webasto's by the way pilkie
can you pm a phone number cos they may be of interest for you
rocky is nearly dry now and my 2000 still won't start!
grrrrrrr
