Number / underseal

Just got this request:

"We took off all the doors and wings, but under the back drivers side wing there's a big number 2 in the underseal. Do you know if this means anything, as we've never seen it on any other P6 before."

Any idea?

There was a period when the papers here were full of people who thought they had religious-shaped vegetables, tea bags & pictures on toast, etc.

I really don't think it is a number, Rudiger. To me it just looks a bit like one.

Yep, that looks totally accidental to me. If somebody put that there for id purposes I don't think they would bother with caligraphy like that.

Rover saved the "big number 2" for the SD1....I should know as I have two of them biodegrading in a field...!

Unlike this bit of hidden writing, which was evident when I removed the door card on my superbly wacky seventies tastic Paprika/Huntsman 2200 auto...just wish they'd written TINTS instead....
