Oil Filter

Hi All, I have previously used "K&N" oil filters in my 1971 V8 ref HP-2003, I have bought a new filter a couple of weeks ago which I have yet to fit (weather too cold just now) I have noticed that they have made some changes to the filter and I wondered if anyone can tell me if I am okay using the updated version. The changes are as follows, the internal filter now states "premium synthetic blend media provides outstanding filtration at high flow rates" also "specially designed for use with todays synthetic and synthetic blended oils" (I always use castrol classic XL20W/50 which I don't think is any of these synthetic types) other changes are, there is now a "application specific bypass/pressure relief valve", everything else looks the same perhaps with different wording, so, am I okay with this "modified" filter?

Hi All,
A quick upadte on the K&N oil filter. Just to be certain I e-mailed the folk at K&N (David Chard) and his reply was:- the oil filters are suitable for modern oils, they are also compatible with classic oils. You should have no problem running this filter with the 3500. So, sorted.
Regards to all
