'Outbox'

Sometimes when I send a pm message. I see that it appears to be just sitting in the 'Outbox'. even after I have logged out and log back in again. Are messages sent out on a timed loop or are they sent straight away and they just appear to be lazily sitting in the Outbox ? At the moment I have two messages that I sent half an hour ago, apparently having not moved ?

I always wonder whether or not to send it again ? Can anyone help let me know what the forum system is doing here?

Im sure it stays in your outbox till the recipient has opened and read it. Quite a good feature lets you know when your sent messages have been viewed ! :wink:
