The MOT is due in afew weeks and had a look around in preperation and found this rusted splash panel, not sure if it's required to be in good shape for the mot so thought I'd best make a repair.

Fabricating replacement parts I realised the locating brackets for the lower wing had rusted completely with the bottom of the wing welded directly to the A and glued on with seam sealer.

Managing to pull the bottom of the wing from the body enabled me to get access for the welding .Here are a few pictures of the repair.

Splashed some paint on as a tempoary measure until I have more time to finish it. Hope this keeps the MOT chap happy.

What a quality job! How many people wouldn't have bothered with the ribs in the repair section ?
Or is it just me .....

Thanks for you comments Dave.
It seems you have a keen eye for detail. The ribs add just a bit of strength and make i look a little more professional i think, though not really necessary of course
