One of my friends spotted a P6 base unit, which he says looks to be in good condition, sitting outside a garage in Haslingdon. Might be parts there, or the potential to buy a base unit? Thought it was a good idea to post up, knowing there are plenty of P6s in the Manchester area! My friend Calum has been in to have a look for other car bits, and when he spoke to them, they said that the V8 base unit is for sale. It's just £200 without the diff and so on, but can be had, complete with rear suspension, diff, etc, for £300. Calum said the base unit has no signs of having been welded, and that it's excellent, aside from a tiny hole in front of the check strap on the driver's door shut. Seems to be from an Almond V8 auto, so, if anyone's after one, it seems like a good one!
