P6 Covertible on gumtree site for sale in RSA

Hi there
I found this "convertible" p6 while browsing, for R29 K. In addition to this the person has also included an old parts car which i originally sold for R5k.

I remember them chain link steering wheels, that car does look good, one of the best looking p6 convertibles i have seen, wonder what its like with the roof on, thats the real test.

Why bother? You're supposed to drive a convertible with the roof down... 8)

Chances are it's got no roof, a lot of these conversions I've seen are "sunny weather only"

Sadly it does, but apart from those two situations you should have your top down.

Almost, the people in the back seat tend to get a bit wet, I know from watching them from the drivers seat and laughing

Maybe if you added one of those mesh screen things behind the rear seats it might help.

You get a lot of turbulance in the rear seats, I had mine the wrong side of 100mph and my poor mate in the back had to hide down behind the front seats.

I had a saab convertible, lovely, lovely car, but novelty of it wore off after 18 months. Got rid and bought the P6. Don't miss the Saab at all.

Oh I love convertibles, proper ones with the entire roof off, not like the wifes 216 with the bar, or Stags with the frame.

I think you either love them or hate them, I really miss the 2.2 I used to drive it every day and got the roof off whenever possible, had it for at least 12 years.

I have tried to locate the contact no.,but to no avail, however browsing on gumtree (google it and then type rover & southafrica) i found another 2 series 1 vehicle in good nick . The black one in particular is in immaculate condition and is going for R35 K, the blue on is going for R30k.Unfortunaltely you have to go to the site to obtain the details.See attached photo's
