crayford estate! wow got to be rarer than the panelcraft 150 odd, if i had the space and money i would buy it right now
The were the same thing were they not? Total run about 150

Having spoken to Mark Gray, who is an Estate expert, it was initially thought this car is the missing Police Estate run by Devon and Cornwall Police in the mid-1970's. However it's registration plate seems to say it isn't - it's Kent registered. It IS though a very late Estate, December 1975 registered - OKL386P. More, no doubt, to follow!

Cheers
Nick

I've just had a look at it. Wow! The old Tin Worm, and the Ferrous Beetle appear to have been having a gormet lunch for many a year! I could put Erik back to original with those wheels and tyres :D

Out of interest, has anyone tried adapting the Denovo trims to fit the standard wheels? I'll have to plead lack of knowledge on this one :;):

thats a good question i have a set of denovo Trims currently hanging on my wall in my room which i want to fit to my Rover (when i get it)

:D i bought them off ebay about a year ago for £20.00 the set they look alright but they have slight surface damage to them, there was a set at Beaulieu for nearly £60 on similar condition! ??? didnt do too badly there

Just goes to show how different people like different things, I never did like the Denovo trims (or the Denovos) and still don't, horrible. I wish I had a set to give you, I'd be glad to see the back of them!

i agree they dont look as nice as the origanal trims or S trims or rostyles but for the time being they are a cheap alternative to rostlyes (well if you look at them quickly)

I've alway's liked to be different, so what could be more different than a set of Denovo's!

A friend of mine has just given me a 1973 news paper freebie for the motorshow, that gives information on every car on display. There's a piccy of a P6 running Denovo's in there! :D

oh brillaint ive only ever seen pics of Denovo Cars in the brochures, no doubt the plate begun with CXC, although the advert with a blue 3500 S next to a set of lock gates on a canal titled "you'll probably be after our new rover" has S trims fitted but ive seen pictures of it in Daniel young's P6 3500 anthology with denovo's on it

The SD1 trims look smart but are a complete pain in the ar.. to fit.

There are coil springs behind the trim that each wheel nut needs to fit through - the springs fall over and get crushed by the wheel nut

If anyone really likes these make me an offer I have a set for sale
