I have posted the photos from my article in the Feb 2009 P6 News.

The black and white article is not great for some of the photos.

What we have is the bonnet release cable, the covering has fallen off over the years leaving the cable looking tatty. I have used a standard heat shrink from maplin. The result is very pleasing.

I've used the same stuff but smaller diameter on the end of the cable it self, helps stopping it get frayed, this works well for all cables. How many times you rebuilt a head and just as you are finished putting it together the throttle / choke cable is all frayed at the end and will not go back in the carbs. This heat shrink insulator is a perfect fix for this.
