Richard,

Is the Entry form going to be put on the website for non members to download for the event?

Are the details in the Events section going to be updated with the latest information as I now understand that there is going to be a charge per car plus the other charges?

Entry forms will be available shortly, I don't update the events section myself, but I'm sure they will be updated soon.

Thanks

Dear Members & Non-Members,

There are only 6 weeks or 44 days left before the clubs 25th Anniversary National Rally at Crich Tram Museum, Derbyshire.

I strongly advise you to book in advance to guarantee you receive your Rally Plaque as we can not guarantee one to those people who turn up on the day.

We had just fewer than 300 cars at Chatsworth House in 2002 and it would great if we could have the same number of cars turn up this year.

All forms & payments should be sent to:-

Frimley Green

Tel: 01252 - 837454
Email: secretary@p6roc.com

Not long now guy's!!

Erik is currently undergoing a major transformation at the moment, so he may turn up looking like his wearing a technicolour dream coat!!

How many of you are stopping over around Derbyshire before and/or after the rally? Fancy meeting up for a beer? :;):

Sunday night,1st July, the pub we all meet at is being descended on by the Triumph sports six club, who are doing a road run around Derbyshire on the same day as our national rally. We have pointed out to the Triumph club that there is a large gathering of P6's at Crich as well.

May the fun continue on into the night! :D

I am gutted.

There is no way that I can get to the rally. How about future ones a bit closer to the summer hols? OK I know that "foreign" based members are in a minority, but I have tried and succeeded in getting to rallies in the UK each year so far. This one (the 25th aniiversarry as well) I will have to miss.

Any chance of buying a plaque though?

trying to get my v8 up to the rally even booked hotel, down pipe on the exhaust from the manifold decided to break up. trying to source replacement. im in kent if any one has any ideas ?

The two suppliers that I can find closest to Kent are Wins Internation Ltd, in Surrey tel:01342 836060. Or there is RPS, in London: tel:020-86969645 or 020-88835309. I've got these numbers from the club magazine.

Hope this helps.
Good Luck!

I am going to my first national Rover rally on July 1st. I wonder if there will be any suppliers of P-6 parts suppliers present at this rally. I have a list of parts I want to bring back to Norway.
regards, Barten

On the subject of the rally on sunday, what's the state of play if it's raining?.Do the cars have to sit on grass,is it muddy etc?.
hope to hear from rally veterans
Cheers
Spike

As far as I am aware the cars will be parked on the "streets" of the museum, so that means tarmac/cobbles !! :)

Hi Richard,

We have been hit very hard by flooding out here in Derbyshire, to the point where it took me 2 hours last night to do the 9 miles home from work! In some places around Chesterfield the flood water on the main roads was literally 6 foot deep.
Crich tramway museum is fairly high up, so it should be OK, but yesterday you would have struggled getting to it. I think that it would be wise to contact the museum, and check if there is enough space for on street parking for the amount of cars booked in, as the ground may be quite boggy.

Things have been very dry and sunny here today, and most of the major flooding has subsided, and the main roads were reopened this afternoon. I think that as long as the weather remains fairly dry for the rest of the week we should be OK.

I only live 15 minutes away from the tramway museum, so I'll keep everyone posted :;):

Currently a big problem for me to get there, the M1 is closed passing Sheffield, pending them getting enough water out of the reservoir to make it safe. I guess it depends on the weather during the remainder of the week. If the rain stays away we should be ok and the roads should be open again.

Hi,

Just to let everyone know that there will be enough space for everyone to park their cars and everyone will be on a hardstanding surface.

I hope all members in the flooded areas are OK and haven't been hit too badly.

thanks for the updates, talking to people at the bromley pageant sunday, where their was a good turnout of p6's, a few of the owners were going and looking forward to the trip, and were travelling from far and wide, including my self and two others so any infomation greatly appreciated. its down to the wire for my car though, m.o.t monday {passed} insurance cover note recieved today, tax to tomorrow then clean up.

I've been out for a run around the dales tonight in my trusty old Ford Capri, and I've been past the Crich Tramway Museum.
I'm pleased to say that all the roads are clear, so unless we have any major rain fall in the next few days.....Game On! :D

Keep us all posted on the Yorkshire/ M1 situation Webmaster :;):

Tony ,was the Bromley Pageant good ? The rain put me off but later in the day I guess it wasn't too bad

Hi ALL!!!

I went to the Bromley for the first time this year,"The white p6 with webasto and rostyles", I parked up by a group of 6ish p6's,who had their big brolly and chairs out having an all day picnic!
I went off for a good look round the cars, "plenty were there" and to the autojumble, which was dissapointing,no doubt due to the weather, luckily it stayed reasonable for most of the day,due to Ascot and Wimbledon the traffic was horendous.
Hopefully next year the weather will be better, and it wont clash with other local big events!!
I am off to Crich on fri, doing b/b,so ive got to get the car cleaned and a good coat of polish on it to make it look its best after the wet 6hrs total driving last sun.
Better go start on it now!!!
See all at Crich.
Dave

dave your right, a dry afternoon, but there were a few gaps where cars were or should have been. but as pilkie said a good turn out of p6's that were dotted around in different areas. I spoke to the members who were just inside the entrance, with two nice looking estates, and a 3500s, both going to crich. it was well worth the visit.
