P6 towing.

I will be using my P6 3500S to tow a modest caravan over the summer and am looking for towing/extension mirrors. Any suggestions? Something period would be nice...
 
I still have my Raydyot mirrors from over 40 yrs ago ( bought 1982) and they fit ok on the Wingard door mirrors. I’ve had a look on eBay and there are a few advertised -Raydyot Classic seems good search wording. Otherwise look for the sort that clipped onto the front wings. They were popular 50yrs ago and occasionally appear on eBay too.

Just spotted a pair of the wing-mounted sort: type Vintage Towing Mirrors and they should come up. Very 1960s/70s. ( I was there!)

Thanks, that is really useful to know. Had seen these but was not sure of fit.
 
I have a couple of the wing-mounted mirrors in the shed. They are simple to mount - you might put some tape on the metal ends to avoid any risk of scratching paint should they move when en route. They look good. However, like wing-mirrors they are far away. I prefer the Raydyots clipped onto door mirrors. The clips are surprisingly strong by the way. Mine obviously never fell off.
