P6's found in Scrap Yard near Ashford, Kent

My mate went to scrapyard last weekend and took these pictures. The owner of the scrapyard is crushing most of the classics he has in there :-(

Here's a few pictures

That is sad - however at the moment scrap metal has slumped in value (here it's about £105 a tonne, lower than it's been for a long while), which may stop some more old cars getting crushed in the near future, and may also mean more wrecks/parts cars going onto eBay instead of just being 'run in'..

Cheers
Nick

You don't see many yards with cars stacked like that any more, the H&S police have them all neatly parked, and I see very few that stack at all.

I can't see what was unsafe about pulling parts off a car in the middle of a stack of 3, with the bottom one supported on a couple of old wheels and a scissor jack ?

Not too many years ago in a breakers yard I was on top of a luton body with a fibre-glass roof taking bits off of a P6 that was also on top of it. :? The next week they took it down & stacked some wheels under it so I could remove the diff.
