painting the "rostyle" hubcaps

Hi guys,

my ocd has kicked in and I am sick of looking at the paintless hubcaps on my late p6b. So, how do I go about repainting the black areas of the rostyle type hubcaps?

I was going to chemically strip the remnants of the old black paint off, clean everything thoroughly, then mask off the parts that arent painted, then use a flat black paint from a rattle can.

Thoughts?

They most certainly are! Same satin black that the sills of the series 2 cars were painted in.

Sounds like a good plan Geoff. See if you can source some satin black though.

I'll mask them up and give them a shot of satin black tomorrow or on the weekend.
