part of throttle linkagr

Can anyone tell me what this snapped cable is please. It was attached to the throttle linkage before it snapped. But im not too sure whats its for so any help would be great. Cheers

jrwadhams have them but will want the code off the side of your gearbox to match it.

JPAT do them too but will want your old cable sending to them to use the endings to make you a new cable.

If it were me I wouldn't try repairing it. The fact that you will have to remove it to attempt a repair means you may as well fit a new one. I wouldn't trust a repair to last especially as it's subjected to quite a bit of pulling not to mention when you kickdown hard.
 
will gearbox change up or down without the kickdown cable? not overly familiar with the working of auto boxes

It will change up and down, but with very early upshifts, and it won't kickdown, and you will be running at idle speed line pressure at all times, so there won't be adequate pressure to clamp the clutches, so they'll slip and judder under load. As I said before, don't use it with the cable disconnected.
 
without a cable from experience of a too long cable you're looking at a few hundred miles before gearbox implosion.... dont do it! Far cheaper to hire a car for a week if you need one while waiting for the cable than the price of a recon gearbox...
