Quest for the holy P6

Just spent an enjoyable hour and a half re-watching Monty Python's Holy Grail, and this time through spotted a P6!

It's masquerading (or might actually be) a police one, it's a rather nice blue. Turns up nearer the end, I can't work out if it's a V8 or a 2000

I spent the whole of half-term watching that film at the local flicks when I was fifteen. Twice a day all week. I was disappointed with the end though, despite the Rovers. It destroyed the medieval magic for me....which I suppose, was exactly the intention of the Python's.

My favourite 'comedy' film of all, the fact there's a P6 in it right at the end just about sums it up. Wonderful stuff.

I've already had a look on the DVD,and tbh there isn't much to go on,there is a glimpse of the front and from what I can see it's a 4 pot,no wing badges though,...

There must be unedited film stock around from the film company that would allow you see the rego number or other accounting material that would reveal the car identity.

It's good, but I'm a "Life of Brian" man myself.

Both are fantastic... Life of Brian just pips holy grail for me though!

Same for me, the Life of Brian just has the story line and the sense of realism...it's like they were actually there recording the real history of christianity  as opposed to the holy grail, I mean come on we all know that pidgeons cant carry coconuts well leastways not African ones....West indian ones maybe but thats a whole other story.

Pigeons can't, but swallows certainly can (African or European).

Thanks Rich. I had never seen that sketch before :). If I really had to choose, would probably go for Life of Brian - it's genius the whole way through. All the Python films were brilliant though. Reckon it's a bit sad that we don't seem to have anything like that on TV/film these days.
