As I have tried all angles to get at this breather thing on the top of the diff with zero luck I am now wondering if I remove the 3 bolts holding the diff up will I be able to lower it enough to get at it with out removing anything else???

cheers all

You should also remove the long bolt that passes through the pinion extension case mount. That bolt passes through and secures a bracket around the end of the extension case, thus keeping it in position. If you just lower the rear without having first removed this bolt, you'll damage the mount which will then require replacement.

That's a pain just had all that in bits to replace the seal thus checking the breather.
but top advice cheers Ron
