Hi, yes, it's off an V8 MGB. The ad is wrong in as much as it was to get carbs under the low bonnet
height. I'm not sure I understand your second question. Are you asking how to duplicate it or mod it?
Or asking how it was cast in the first place? I would think there was a high attrition rate during the
casting process.

That's odd. It's not an MGB V8 one, the runners on those were a separate piece that bolted onto the manifold. I would say that it's a home made version of the MG manifold. Not badly done but what would you do with it? Even the MG one was pretty crap performance wise.
 
Yes I remember reading about the 'trouser' manifolds. The design was particularly efficient at minimising engine performance :roll:
