The near-side outside pad has worn down to the wire, whereas the inside pad still has plenty of meat left. The off-side pads have even more so. My question is, can I replace just the noticeably worn pad (having dropped the half shaft and removed the disk to allow winding in of the piston), or is replacing all of the pads necessary? I would never contemplate doing this with the front pads given their strong bias, but with the rears, I wonder if it is an option?
