The rear stabiliser rod linking the differential mounting plate to the base unit.

Has anyone had the pleasure or otherwise of removing this rod and fitting new bushes?

I have never removed mine, so the bushes remain the original ones from 1974, and are the only bushes on the car that I have not replaced.

It has never given me cause to remove, but at some point I dare say the bushes will require replacement.

What have your experiences been? Any difficulties encountered?

All replies greatly appreciated.

Ron.

Hi replaced all my rear end bushes with superflex. And without doubt that was the easiest one by far you should not have any problems.Regards Ken.

What difference (good and bad) do the superflex bushes make?

I am not doing mine yet, but it is on the list.

I agree with falconho, by far the easiest of all the rear suspension bushes to replace. Replaced mine with a set of new old stock Rover ones,so unable to help with superflex option.
