Hi All,
Looks like Gavin and I will be making the pilgrimage over to the P6 Club national rally on the 29/30th June and we look forward to putting some faces to names.
As you know our car has recently gone through rather an extensive modification at the back end, it now sports a Jag IRS setup. This conversion has freed up some standard Rover parts that we’d like to move on, I’ve listed the main items below with some guide prices. We can bring these with us to the rally so no need to worry about the possible expense of shipping etc… from Ireland. We also could do with some stuff and I’ve listed this as well please PM me if you have any of the listed items.
Forsale:
Leak free DeDion, had new seals and bellows when car was recommissioned £25
A proven strong, silent, smooth and leak free V8 diff… £25
Pair of recently overhauled rear callipers, new seals etc… complete with calliper linkage and handbrake
cable (nearly new): Caution this handbrake locks the rear wheels!!! £75
V8 tie rods with Superflex bushes installed £20
Pair of rear halfshafts & hubs not rebuilt but working well when removed from car £50
Pair or rear suspension elbows, very solid, blasted and painted during the build now missing a fair bit of
the paint but still totally solid. £50
Gavin’s supper strong and extra stiff diff rear support bracket, see the blog or thread in the project
section for details. £50
Standard unbroken rear diff support bracket Free
Free to worthy owner: ‘To be removed my owner’ cruse in top gear auto gearbox mirror hanger (found in glove box).
We also have the rear uprated (Classeparts) springs and GAZ dampers but will probably hold on to these until we free up the ones from the front during the next stage of the upgrade, we’ll then have the full set to sell together, unless someone really wants them now?
Prices are a guide but it would be great if we could at least part fund this trip this way.
We’re looking for:
A top suspension arm, not worried about side.
P6 Sump and Windage Tray
Oil pick-up pipe
Front pulley
SD1 manual fly wheel
Late SU inlet setup
We’re building another engine and would rather not strip the one we have in the car for these bits as it does run very well as a package and would provide a useful emergency backup. I know Harvey has offered most of these bits, are you coming to the Rally?
Thanks, Tim and Gavin
