had a good look round today apart from the head gasket its not to bad little ropey here and there but will come back and make a good car the origianal colour is like a deep red/purple

There is a 2000TC head gasket set on ebay if you need one.

I suspect there may be another colour even underneath that because as far as I know the only deep red was Richlieu but that was only on very late cars, the only reds around the time your car was made were Monza which as you probably know is a bright red or Brigade which was a bit darker but not really deep & purpley :roll: , having said that my car is black :shock: & you try & find that in the list of colour options :? Anyway enough of that waffle time for the subliminal messages paint it Monza paint it Monza

i wont be doing any painting just yet got to get the engine sorted first then a bit of bodywork maybe paint next year :D

colin, the proper colour is bragade red but its colour now is a landrover red and not far away from monza

Thanks for letting me have a nosey, I haven't had a really good look around a 2000TC since mine went in the late seventies/early eighties.

You got a bargain there.
