Yesterday's drive was disrupted by fuel issues. TWith over 1/2 tank of fuel the level in the bowl on my mechanical pump was barely covering the screen and dropping low causing the car to splutter and cut out a few times. Would restart straight away but do it a few minutes later. Also seemed to be air bubbles in the inflow, never taken any notice if that's normal or not.
The 51 year old fuel lines forward of the reserve tap have seen better days. Am keen to replace everything with rubber hose and install an inline pro50 presure regulator between the mechanical pump and the carb (SC). Does anyone know what the male thread sizes are on the reserve tap and the female threads on the AC fuel pump?
